Before we continue with the rooting tutorial, I would like to take a little time to tell you what rooting is all about, advantages and disadvantages of rooting your android phones.

  • SM-G935F, SM-G930FD, SM-G930X
  • Korean SM-G935S, SM-G930K, SM-G930L
  • Canadian SM-G935W8

All U.S.A Models; AT&T SM-G930A/SM-G935A, T-Mobile SM-G930T/SM-G935T, Sprint SM-G930P/SM-G935P and Verizon SM-G930V/SM-G935V have LOCKED BOOTLOADERS. This means that they cannot be rooted with any known method for now. If any positive development comes in the future, we shall not hesitate to tell you about it. Complete Samsung Galaxy S7 Rooting Guide

Before you Start, Install the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 USB Drivers download earlier first.

STEP-BY-STEP  GUIDE

1. Go to Settings->About phone

2. Tap on “Software info” then start tapping on “Build number” until it says, “Developer mode has been turned on”.

3. Tap the back button twice and tap “Developer options”.

4. Turn ON “OEM unlock”.

5. Power off your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge Phone. Power it back ON by holding down Volume Down, Center Home, and Power buttons together until you see a warning screen. Release the buttons and then Press Volume Up Button once to go into Download Mode.

6. Now, Connect your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge Phone to your computer using a USB Cable.

7. Now, Run Odin.exe file inside the downloaded Odin and make sure that there is a blue sign in Odin as shown on the image below;

8. Now, Add the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge (depending on your phone) TWRP Recovery file downloaded earlier to Odin using the PDA or AP buttons

9. Hit on the Start button on Odin to begin Custom Recovery Flashing. Your phone would restart automatically when the process completes

10. Now, Boot your phone into TWRP recovery mode by holding Volume Up, Center Home, and Power buttons down together.

11. Once in TWRP recovery mode screen, swipe right to allow modifications.

12. Now, Choose "Wipe"

13. Now, "Choose Format Data" and type "yes" confirm. This will wipe everything on your phone

14. Once done, hit the back button about 3 times to get back into main menu and select “Reboot” menu.

15. Now, Choose "Recovery" to boot into TWRP Recovery.

16. Again, swipe right to allow system modifications.

17. Copy the BETA SuperSU zip file and the file “no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip” to anywhere on your S7 or S7 Edge storage.
